As per a request, here's a brief overview of ADA Racing's Scooter Clutch Kit for spindle driven Gopeds and GoQuads. This kit will allow the above to idle at a stop.
You can find the kit on:
www.davesmotors.com (NOT davesdiscountmotors.com like I said in the vid!)
or
www.adaracing.com
I've also written up a how-to-install article over on GPN if you would like to see how it's installed:
http://www.gopednation.com/forum/showthread.php?t=265393
I highly recommend this kit for anyone with a spindle driven Goped or GoQuad who wants it to be able to idle.
Edit 7/19/08:
I forgot to mention that this will fit the Zenoah G2D as well.

What color Loctite are you using? Blue seems to hold well for me, but if you have trouble try a SMALL dab of red Loctite. Keep in mind if you decide to use red that the bolts will only loosen when heated. Try more blue Loctite again and if that fails try red. Also remember to check the bolts before each ride! I’ve had my pipe bracket come loose on some long rides before.

I made it myself. This is unfortunately one of the downsides to the clutch kit. You’ll have to fabricate a mount for your ped.

Depending on which …
Depending on which frame you have there should be some type of pipe leading out of the frame under the engine. Then you use a piece of this tubing (item fd10xx) to connect your muffler/pipe to the frame. The frame itself acts as a silencer to quiet down the engine. Keep in mind this isn’t available on all frames (such as mine in this video since it’s an aftermarket frame).
What many people …
What many people seem to do is replace the clutch springs with DDM’s heavy duty clutch springs ( item gt398) or the clutch saver springs (item gt399). Apparently both seem to be more reliable than the stock springs. The difference between the 2 is that the heavy duty springs have the same RPM engagement as the stock springs and the clutch saver springs engage at a lower RPM “saving the clutch shoes”.

Aaw….um do you know any 78mm cluches out there…ore something else but not the stock one that the GTR has…?
If you’re looking …
If you’re looking at the same one on DDM as I am, it won’t fit your engine. You need a 78mm clutch shoe, not 54mm. Outside of that I haven’t had experience with them or any 78mm clutches in person. Just 54mm clutches.

That really sucks. …
That really sucks. Well, I know the clutch springs on the GP460 engines have been trouble. There are better aftermarket springs you can get to fix that problem. If you bought it recently try talking to the place where you got it from. Or just keep at PMW until everything’s fixed.
